We congratulate Isabella Chavarría (8th grade) for obtaining 1st place in the Creative Task Challenge of Carnegie Mellon University. This is great news and an excellent result for the first time that AIS participated in this worldwide competition. Many thanks to Ms. Eve and Ms. Gloria, who guided Isabella in this project.
We also congratulate our Model United Nations representatives for the invitation to the session in Geneva, Switzerland which they attended in January. At this time the group has just returned from Boston, after participating in the Harvard MUN Conference (which took place at Harvard University), and they soon will start preparing for the first AIS MUN event. We thank Mr. Bustos, Ms. Fio and the MUN students for the effort that has resulted in the great projection of our team. Go Falcons!
Student-teachers from different classes of the Faculty of Education of the University of Saint Thomas (USA) visited our school inJanuary. They had their first internship experience under the guidance of AIS educators. These sessions allowed our students to deal with different teaching styles, while our staff had the opportunity to act as mentors and share best practices in education.
