Dear AIS Community,
We have had a very exciting start to the school year welcoming more than 85% of our students on campus. Although the online experience in AIS has been extremely successful, we are happy to allow the socialization of our children and young people while following strict protocols.
This year we were able to reincorporate the “Growing with Paws” class in the PS, PK, K and 1st Grades, these sessions were suspended last year due to the pandemic. Afterschool classes returned with well renowned coaches in charge of sports, while our excellent teachers consolidate artistic and musical disciplines, develop the social focus of the National Honor Society, and explore geopolitical issues in more detail in Model UN and Stuko.
Next week our staff will receive the 2nd Dose of the Vaccine to Prevent Covid-19 and thus complement our efforts to provide a safe environment for our student community.
During September we have scheduled several activities to celebrate the Bicentennial of the Independence of Costa Rica, we invite you
to participate, to decorate your houses and to wear the national colors. Happy Independence Month!

Finally, I remind you of the importance of maintaining and reinforcing precautionary measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19. AIS continues to monitor and follow the instructions and recommendations from the authorities.
